Unlike many BI (Business Intelligence) products, locii Insight is tailor made for your company. locii Rapid Application Generation (LRAG) is a breakthrough technology used to build databases, computer interfaces and front end applications. It is used to create a unique database, interface and client in each Insight project.

Traditional BI applications have a standard database structure and standard application tools. Changes to these standard structures can take months and are the main cost in any traditional BI project. For small/medium sized companies this often means that the real business structure is made to fit into a standard structure with many performance and reporting deficiencies.

LRAG is many thousands of times faster than traditional development and much more accurate. Specifically designed for Insight, LRAG can also be used to interrogate database structures and automatically generate the programming code and data warehouse structures required.

The use of LRAG techniques means that the Insight design is much more flexible than traditional data warehouse designs. It also means that it is much easier to change Insight even adding completely new structures.

Inevitably in any BI project, a data structure will be required (or at least be beneficial) that is not available in the source systems (e.g. an accounts hierarchy that is not present in the finance transaction system). This structure can be added to Insight and, using LRAG, a whole new application can be generated to maintain the new structures. Using traditional methodologies this is simply not possible without months of development.
